To leap across the "crick” of the overwhelming-ness of so many "White Dreams" ideas, samples, inspirations, I jumped right into "Spirit Cloth 101" ~ a GOLDMINE ~ right from the get-go, I am soothed and re-directed to what urged me to sign up for the [What if Diaries](http://spiritcloth.bigcartel.com/product/the-spirit-cloth-diaries) to begin with. I am so grateful Jude included it in the “Diaries” adventure. Worth every penny of the class! My strategy of preparation for beginning my "What If Diaries" garden is to go through every post and video of "Spirit Cloth 101" before selecting my supplies. At this point, I’m really far more interested in process, than product.
Pictures are of remnants from my scrap basket of an '80s wearable art jacket that I made with silk, Ultrasuede, beads, and fabric manipulation. Previous parts and pieces of the garment have gone into wedding bags/purses and other things, so it is looking pretty bead-draggled and ready for new life.
Taking photos of these fabrics is a challenging exercise in white and texture. The beads look pure white to the eye, but the camera sees differently. The Ultrasuede absorbs light. The silk reflects it. I think just hanging it up in different areas of light might be a creative seed.
